![]() Options that include mechanical recompression of reheated steam save up to 60% of electricity in three evaporation stages instead of one. Up to 50% of heating steam is saved when the reheated steam is recompressed with a steam ejector. The calculation options differed in how the steam and liquor are supplied into the evaporator, the number of stages of evaporator plants, the type of evaporator plants (with remote heating chamber or film evaporator), the energy-saving techniques, such as recompression of reheated steam by a mechanical compressor or a steam ejector device. To optimize the economy and energy consumption, the authors calculated several options and found the optimal option of washing acid evaporation from 18 to 43%% up to at least 65% wt. The evaporation was modeled in the SuperPro Designer software. ![]() The gases from fluidized bed kilns were wet-cleaned to obtain the wastewater in question. The paper considers technical and economic models of wastewater evaporation. ![]()
